Our latest home staging project is the definition of modern living. This high-end new-build sits on a quiet corner lot in 78704, and this two-story home is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom property that features oak flooring, an upstairs game room, and endless amounts of natural light. Scroll on to see how we transformed this space into a comfortably-appointed home.
THE GREAT ROOM
This is probably our favorite space in the home—and for reasons that are crystal clear. First off, we are in love with all of the natural light that enters through the large windows. This room is spacious enough to fit a dining table that seats six, while still leaving plenty of room for a full living room. Plus, the open-concept design allows the future homeowners to seamlessly entertain guests in each space. And as you walk out on to the covered backyard patio, there’s plenty of open lawn space. But if we had a say, we’d definitely build a pool in the backyard.
THE GUEST BEDROOM
The first floor bedroom sits at the front of the home, and like the rest of the home, is flooded with sunlight. We wanted to make this room as cozy as possible, so we brought in a hand-wrought iron bed. The open railing and soft curves offer an inviting place to rest. To make the bed even more plush, we added a soft gray linen duvet, piled on plenty of pillows, and laid a tasseled rug for added comfort.
THE 2ND FLOOR GAME ROOM
Another great feature of the home is the abundance of open living space on the second floor. Vaulted ceilings only add to the wonderful spaciousness. Indeed there is enough room to accommodate two separate living spaces, so that’s exactly what we designed. First, we put together a more formal living area, complete with a neutral colored sofa. Yet, one of our favorite pieces in this lounge area are the chairs, which feature a rustic, live-edge wooden frame.
For the second lounge area we created a perfect reading corner with this mod, gray sectional that looks like it was built for this spot!
THE MASTER BEDROOM
Just off the upstairs game room is the master suite, and we think it’s the pinnacle of modern living. First off, this plush king bed is stacked with cozy pillows and a soft throw blanket. Who wouldn’t want to get tucked into this scene at the end of a long day? To keep the warm color palette going, we added a brown striped rug underneath. Then, we flanked the bed with two modern nightstands, a pair of linen shade lamps, and some calming abstract art.
The master bath is a true sanctuary. Featuring dual vanities, a large walk-in closet, a stand-in shower, and unique flooring, we can see how you might never leave this room. And what else is there to say about the soaking tub other than, “when can we move in?!”
