September. It’s the month signifying the end of summer and start of fall, with a bit of a brisk chill in the air. That is, chilly for those who don’t reside in Texas, where we can expect to keep sweating our booty’s off probably until Halloween. Regardless, we still have the final stretch of the year ahead, and fall and winter brides are surely hustling to put their finishing touches on their weddings. Lucky for them, Pantone’s colors of the year for 2016 are still available for use, because it’s impossible to do so after December 31st. Kidding! But, we seriously do love the Rose Quartz and Serenity palette they provided us with as inspiration for fashion, design, and anything color-related throughout the year.

Pantone is the leading expert on color accuracy within print and digital design and they’ve been selecting a color of the year since 2000. In 2016, they chose two colors for the first time. On their website, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute Leatrice Eiseman says, “Joined together Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”

This is why we love color in our designs. It makes it possible to feel a certain way and convey a message and personality to your guests just by selecting a palette. Early in the year, we went to Fredericksburg to put a vision of these colors to life and it turned out looking like a dream. Hopefully these images inspire you to incorporate these beautiful hues into your wedding design, if not base it around them entirely!
