A Transitional Tablescape for Summer to Fall

Every August it seems like most people are stressing about the sooner-than-expected arrival of back-to-school season. And while we can’t believe that summer is nearly over (seriously, where did it go?!), the Birch & Brass team always gets a glimmer in their eyes when we start to see the fall months on our calendars. Since autumn is one of our busiest times of the year for weddings + events, we get so giddy seeing how our clients want to celebrate the season.

But in the meantime, we wanted to take a brief moment to discuss the idea of transitional design. If you’re hosting an event between seasons and want the best of both worlds in terms of style and mood, then transitional design may be the approach for you. Below, you’ll find a perfect example of how to achieve a look that captures the magic of late-summer/early-fall. Hues of goldenrod and mustard are the jumping off points for everything from the florals to the napkins. Meanwhile, to counter the rich fall tones, there are plenty of pops of white and ivory. Overall, every detail is unified through a modern + sunny approach to design. Scroll on to see how our tabletop collection fits seamlessly within this transitional aesthetic.
